GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director, Events & Strategic Partnerships, the Development Assistant works with the Development team to meet department goals and helps implement plans and strategies to meet fundraising goals. The Assistant is involved in resource development activities including donor development and recognition, event logistics, promotional activities, and special events.
Essential Job Functions:
Event Support
- Actively participate in Walk4ALZ team recruitment, engagement, and support
- Lead peer-to-peer fundraising for an assigned group of accounts
- Oversee the administrative needs of walk4ALZ, Run4ALZ, and other events as assigned
- Support the implementation of walk4ALZ participant recognition
- Support the production of events like the Holiday Donor Recognition event and ALZGLA After Dark
- Support the preparation and distribution of event marketing materials, including event websites, print collateral, social media content, and email marketing
General Administrative Support
- Process and code arriving donations
- Prepare and distribute donor reports, meeting notes, and mailing lists
- Provide administrative support to Development staff as assigned
- Oversee the volunteer and intern-led solicitation of in-kind donations; maintaining inventories, track usage, and recognizing donors
- Assist the Development team on the coordination of donor engagement, cultivation, and solicitation plans
Plan, execute, and monitor various projects as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required
· B.A. degree, preferably with a major in a related field
· Excellent writing, editorial and verbal communication skills
· Must have strong interpersonal skills
· High level of integrity and initiative
· Strong computer literacy skills and ability to learn new software
· Experience with constituent databases a plus
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
· 1-2 years’ experience in a nonprofit environment a plus
· 1-2 years’ experience working with relational databases (Donor Perfect, Raisin, or similar) very helpful
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with a positive attitude
· Ability to maintain high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
· Available to work occasional evenings and weekends
