Position Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Vice President, Development & Vice President, Communications

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is a leading national organization focusing on mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, which affect over 21 million Americans, account for over 50% of the nation’s suicides every year and cost $23 billion in lost workdays and other workplace losses.
DBSA’s peer-based, wellness-oriented, and empowering services and resources are available when people need them, where they need them, and how they need to receive them—online 24/7, in local support groups, in audio and video casts, or in printed materials distributed by DBSA, our chapters, and mental health care facilities across America.
Through more than 500 support groups and approximately 150 chapters, DBSA reaches millions of people each year with in-person and online peer support; current, readily understandable information about depression and bipolar disorder; nationally recognized peer support services, training, advocacy, and empowering tools focused on an integrated approach to wellness.

Scope of Role
DBSA is seeking a seasoned project manager to help support our strategic direction and communications priorities. This new position is ideal for someone interested in helping to shape this role in a growing, dynamic organization committed to expanding peer support and mental health resources to our audiences.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Liaise with staff from all departments to identify and define project requirements, scope of work, and objectives that align with organizational goals
● Coordinate with teams to assign resources, define and write project briefs, and ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, defined budgets, and deliverables
● Develop and maintain communications calendar
● Analyze project progress and ensure all parts of an assigned project are processed, organized, and advancing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates
● Assist in assigning project tasks to relevant parties and check in for status updates
● Develop and maintain project performance databases that track overall progress and the accomplishment of specific milestones
● Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
● Act as a point of communication between DBSA teams and external resources
● Deepen partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors
● Liaise with program managers across the organization and the development team to track revenue by project, invoicing criteria; create and submit reports
Qualifications

● BA degree or equivalent
● Minimum of four years project management experience
● Commitment to supporting individuals living with a mental health condition
● Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
● Knowledge of project management tools and principles
● Strong analytical abilities, computation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to create reports, presentations for internal and external audiences
● Effective written and verbal communications skills
● Knowledge of budgets, finance, and contract management
● Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
● Working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, as well as database systems; experience with Raiser's Edge a plus
● Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Benefits
Additional Salary Information: $44,000 - $49,000 annually
This is a full-time position with benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, 401K and life insurance. Position will primarily work standard hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, flexible start/end times possible. Periodic evening or weekend hours may be required.
This position will be remote/work from home to start and will eventually transition to DBSA’s National Office.
