Queens Community House (QCH) is a multi-site nonprofit organization serving the diverse population of Queens through a broad network of programs for children and youth, adults and families, and older adults. Our mission is to provide individuals and families with the tools to enrich their lives and build healthy, inclusive communities.

We are seeking a qualified Development Coordinator who will report to the Director of Development. The Coordinator will assist with all facets of QCH's individual and corporate fundraising, including donor prospecting and cultivation, donor communications, event planning, implementation, and donor database maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of QCH's database (SalesForce), including updating gift and prospect records, maintaining donor files, recording gifts, and generating gift acknowledgments.
  • Provide data queries on giving histories, donation analytics, and reports regularly.
  • Provide logistical support for three to four fundraising events per year, including assisting the Director of Development (DoD) in leading event logistics – catering, managing guest lists, presentation, coordinating with event vendors and participants, etc.
  • Assist in crafting donor communications, including appeal letters, thank you letters, and periodic updates.
  • Support the DoD in researching and identifying new sources of financial support, including major individual and corporate donors and prospects.
  • Directly assist the DoD with donor outreach, scheduling meetings, and follow-up.
  • Support the execution of a comprehensive individual donor strategy to help increase the number of small and medium-sized donors and increase their level of giving.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for annual appeals, fundraising campaigns, and projects.
  • Assist in Managing the fundraising calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years experience in fundraising, event planning, administration and/or database management required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience managing SalesForce or relevant databases.
  • Must possess above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work well with others.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently as well as collaboratively with staff.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assignments under strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, database management, and data search tools.
  • Experience in using Constant Contact is a plus.

Salary

USD 45,000 - USD 50,000
