Maine Medical Center is seeking a Vocational Services Data & Intake Specialist in Biddeford. The Data & Intake Specialist is responsible for referral coordination operations of the Benefits Counseling Services program at Maine Medical Center’s Department of Vocational Services (DVS). The Specialist also provides support to the Program Manager to ensure the integrity and timeliness of data collection and required performance measures, including but not limited to training, troubleshooting, and supporting staff and management in quality assurance and reporting. Acts as first point of contact for incoming referrals, conducting an initial assessment of individual needs and available resources within and outside of DVS. Works on special projects with flexibility. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, independent judgment and discretion.



Qualifications:

·        Associate degree in related field, or equivalent education and employment experience required.

·        Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, and ability to learn and work within proprietary computer applications, including knowledge of relational data systems.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with clients, family members, funding sources and other MMC personnel.

·        Good math aptitude with the ability to perform calculations and follow general billing and disbursement procedures.

·        Demonstrated analytical, conceptualization, and problem solving ability. Strong attention to detail.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently and set priorities within assigned tasks. Good time management skills.
