Integrated Marketing Manager

Reports to: Editor-in-Chief

Location: Giving Compass is based in Seattle, but we are open to remote candidates.

Giving Compass is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Integrated Marketing Manager. 

The Integrated Marketing Manager will take a lead role in developing strategic integrated marketing programs that leverage digital and traditional media to support the Giving Compass brand. The role requires a data-driven, seasoned marketer with an appetite to own multiple disciplines (marketing related to audience growth, brand, fundraising & business development). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding, passion, and commitment to advancing racial and social justice.

This position will require cross-department collaboration to identify and prioritize comprehensive & cohesive campaigns, promotions, and strategies to drive growth and engagement of our target audiences and to support business development and fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and has a strong sense of ownership and accountability. In collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief, the Integrated Marketing Manager will serve as a brand ambassador to ensure Giving Compass’ message is clear and consistent across all communication channels.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • With a primary focus on racial and social justice, overseeing and contributing to the creation of marketing content and assets to convey the value of our solutions to targeted audiences
  • Driving and sharing market research, learnings, and best practices that are applicable to our mission.
  • Leading the creation of the integrated marketing plan and strategies across multiple channels with a focus on audience growth and engagement.
  • Defining common campaign structure, elements, and success metrics to be used across campaigns including but not limited to: Paid search, social media, events, and more.
  • Working closely with the editorial team to align marketing campaigns with our editorial calendar, develop promotional opportunities for content partners, and create special content campaigns. 
  • Collaborating with the leadership team on external communications -- press releases, media interviews, one-pager development, etc.
  • Developing fundraising and business development collateral
  • Providing feedback on Giving Compass site features, products and services as it relates to marketing and brand consistency.
  • Owning and driving informative and actionable meetings to keep stakeholders informed, involved, and aligned on all things marketing related.  
  • Opportunity to build and manage a small team to drive marketing efforts

  • Proven track record in integrated / digital marketing strategies (examples of successes & failures with the learnings). 
  • Considerable knowledge of Google AdWords & social media platforms & best practices
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing analytics. Skill in tracking key performance indicators and making data-driven recommendations 
  • Proven track record in targeting key audiences, growth, and engagement
  • Strong creative and design principles related to content and marketing asset creations
  • Experience writing press releases and cultivating earned media
  • Proven ability to build an organizational brand 
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem solving and solutions
  • Passionate about using technology and media for social good


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field 
  • 7-10 years of marketing experience, with a core focus on digital marketing
  • Social justice experience a plus
