We are looking for an engaged Policy Officer (Assurance Standards and Internal Processes), who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.

The Scope

To coordinate development and adaptation of internal quality management processes and implementation of new technologies. To coordinate the review, revision, and maintenance of the general requirements for FSC accredited certification bodies.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • To support drafting of standard operating procedures to improve internal quality management processes. 
  • To support and coordinate PSUs input to digitization processes of FSC policies, standards and procedures and associated platforms and tools.  
  • To coordinate the review, revision and maintenance of the general assurance requirements, including related documents, for FSC accredited certification bodies. 
  • To coordinate the development, review and revision of other core FSC policies, standards and procedures. 
  • To work closely with external parties involved in the relevant processes. 
  • Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs. 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Education and Training:  

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree or suitable vocational training.

 

Working Experience, Style and Skills:  

  • At least 2 years of applicable professional experience in relevant fields, for example, quality management, assurance, certification, standard setting, research.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A strong sense for diligence and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven ability to plan and organize work.

 

Languages:  

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

 

Computer Skills – good skills in the use of/experience with: 

  • Standard software packages (MS Office). 
  • Database applications.

 

Communication Skills:  

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills that contribute to cohesive team efforts and decision making.  

Terms and Conditions

  • Location: Bonn, Germany.
  • Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible.
  • Duration of Employment: 2 years contract.
