The Austin Foundation has an opening for a Program Manager who wants a flexible roll that incorporates running youth and some adult fitness programming, administrative tasks and organizational development. The Austin Foundation is a 501 C3 non profit requires a candidate who has willingness to try a variety of new tasks, has experience working with children age 5-18 and is highly organized.

Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Regular meetings with Program Director and Executive Director
  • Substituting and facilitating Fitness programming
  • Maintain regular communication with Austin Foundation Staff, interns, volunteers and site partners at different fitness programs
  • Write and distribute email, letters, forms, etc
  • Assist in preparing regular reports on different sections of the Austin Foundation’s performance
  • Develop and maintain an organizational system for Austin Foundation documents
  • Regularly update Austin Foundation documents
  • Order new Austin Foundation supplies and materials, finding good deals as well as suppliers
  • Maintain lists of contacts, donors, partners, etc
  • Manage Austin Foundation Calendars of important events and schedule appointments
  • Maintaining Facebook presence with regular updates and increasing amount of likes
  • Creating a news letter for families and partners
  • Researching future potential families, partners, and donors
  • Promoting fundraisers and events
  • Collecting stories from alums of the Austin Foundation to be used for promotional material
  • Collaboration with consultation teams on how to promote the Austin Foundation brand name
  • Research and write grant proposals
  • Web editing and collaboration with web consultants
  • Creating designs for promotional material such as shirts, water bottles, etc
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing efforts
  • Perform research on potential partnerships and future opportunities
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
  • Prepare promotional presentations
  • Creating and operating organization database of program participants, families, partners, etc
  • Assist in organizing and marketing Austin Foundation events
  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED some college preferred, or willingness to pursue education upon beginning work with the Austin Foundation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms
  • Fitness background or fitness certification preferred
  • Experience working with children and teens preferred, or willingness to learn and work with said populations.
  • Must be able-bodied and physically fit enough to implement fitness programming for all ages
  • Must be comfortable leading people and verbally teaching directives based fitness sessions
  • Public speaking experience and comfortably speaking in front of audiences is a plus
  • Excellent Written, organizational and Verbal Communication skills
  • Teachable, flexible, attitude
  • Ability to work with any person in a calm, respectful, and professional manner
  • Strong, self-motivated work ethic
  • Drivers License and reliable transportation necessary
  • Strong cultural awareness, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Driver's license and mode of transportation preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background/criminal history check

Salary: 32 Hour a week position, $18-20 per hour (based on experience) + Health Benefits covered
