SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

SUMMARY:

Looking for a talented social media coordinator to create and maintain a strong online presence for a non-profit organization. Candidates should develop and implement engaging content and marketing strategies through social media accounts, i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn for a charity rich in the history of assisting the Italian American community since 1920.  Beginning at the New York City piers assisting Italian immigrants and continuing today with its “I Nostri Bambini” mission of helping children of Italian descent, the organization focuses on those who require medical assistance or who have suffered an emotional trauma. If you are a tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating our mission, we would like to meet you.  As a social media coordinator, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract and cultivate more followers while promoting our brand and mission. Ultimately you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research audience preferences and discover current trends.

Create engaging text, image and video content. Interact with followers and respond to questions and comments.

Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new events and information updates.

Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum exposure.

Develop an optimal posting schedule considering customer engagement metrics, e.g. 3 posts per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven work experience as a social media coordinator.

Ability to deliver creative text, image and video content, including photo editing skills.

Familiarity with online marketing strategies to grow the organization’s network.
