The Position

The Corporate Engagement Manager is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of corporate donors while sourcing and cultivating potential corporations not currently a corporate sponsor of Out & Equal. In addition to meeting business development and relationship management goals, the Corporate Engagement Manager negotiates and executes Partnership Agreements with corporate sponsors and ensures precise execution and fulfillment of completed Partnership Agreements as assigned. As a member of the Corporate Engagement Team, the Corporate Engagement Manager supports, develops and executes fundraising initiatives and campaigns for Out & Equal.

Approach

You are a strategic creative thinker and have a proven track record in fundraising, relationship management, and/or corporate engagement. You effectively assess funder needs as they align to Out & Equal’s events, programs, and strategic initiatives, building rapport and trust with others. You proactively pursue sponsor opportunities ultimately resulting in the cultivation of new relationships and elevating existing partnerships to meet Out & Equal’s Corporate Engagement revenue goals and account management objectives.

Duties & responsibilities

Working under the supervision of the Sr. Director, Corporate Engagement, the Corporate Engagement Manager will:

• Develop and implement strategies for growing an assigned portfolio while acquiring new corporate partners on behalf of Out & Equal

• Research and recruit potential sponsors with written proposals, presentations and follow up to generate new business and revenue

• Manage corporate relationships by providing high touch communication and frequent opportunities for engagement

• Issue and track event Partnership Agreements and invoices to meet audit and finance requirements

• Work collaboratively with Out & Equal internal partners to ensure all corporate partner expectations are met

Compensation, Schedule & Location

This is a full time, exempt position based in Washington, D.C., with travel required approximately four times per year. Occasional work during evenings and weekends will be required. Salary will be determined upon hiring, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skills, but will be in the range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Out & Equal’s generous benefits package includes four weeks’ paid vacation in addition to 10 office holidays and sick leave; fully employer-paid medical, vision and dental insurance for staff members; FSA and commuter benefits; EAP; life and disability insurance; and 401k plan with employer match and a 6% safe harbor contribution after one year.
