    residents.

    Our organization is seeking a Finance Specialist to join our office team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy, as well as excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The Finance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, budgeting, and light bookkeeping.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and maintain financial records.
    • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
    • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions and measure community impact.
    • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
    • Create cash flow analysis and project proformas for real estate projects.
    • Analyze financial data and generate reports.
    • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
    • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of data.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
    • Perform baseline allocations of invoices for accounting.
    • Ability to provide clear and concise financial reports and graphics.
    • Ability to review capital stack proposals for optimization.
    • Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
    • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, and product teams.

    Candidate Competencies:

    • Technologically proficient, particularly in Excel and Google Sheets
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
    • Ability to work effectively in a high volume environment with attention to detail.
    • Ability to learn new systems and processes as needed.
    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with a minimum of 2-4 years relevant finance or accounting experience.
    • A candidate who has at least 3 years of experience of drawing insights from data.
    • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
    • Experience in grant management, non-profit accounting and federal grant management.
