Tarrytown United Methodist Church is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, project-driven, team player to be our next Production Specialist. The Production Specialist will become an integral part of our Communications Team, demonstrating the skills and desire to align our digital and print communication with the mission, vision, values, and strategies of the church. The Production Specialist will produce a variety of print and digital communication pieces with the goal of increasing engagement with members, visitors, and the community. Responsibilities will include collaborating with the pastoral and program staff to keep all TUMC website content up- to-date; produce bulletins for each of TUMC’s weekly and special services; manage content on social media; provide design support for special projects; create weekly electronic newsletters; design and produce print and digital marketing pieces; assist with the production and publication of video; and oversee production calendars. The Production Specialist will demonstrate the ability to balance several projects at once while meeting strict deadlines. Additional qualifications include demonstrated attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well on a team.
At least three years of leadership team or staff experience in a church averaging 500+ in worship (or comparable experience in the business field) is desired.
The ideal candidate will have a BA in Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related creative field.
Because the work centers on helping others develop and live out their faith, the Production Specialist should have an active and growing faith in Jesus Christ. While it is not necessary to be a member of Tarrytown United Methodist Church, it is strongly recommended that the Production Specialist attend worship and participate in a small group as an active part of a church.
