We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter and phenomenal teammate to join our dynamic marketing team. The FIRST® marketing team drives awareness and growth for the organization’s global PreK-12 programs. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, the Brand Marketing Specialist will shape, support, and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, recognition, and FIRST team growth. This role will support external-facing marketing projects and internal, cross-program initiatives in alignment with FIRST’s overall strategy. This role supports critical marketing functions such as corporate partnership engagement with key sponsors, creative and video production, and brand storytelling. This person will also provide planning and reporting support to help with team efficiency.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a foundational track record in a marketing communications role, with proficient experience across social media platforms, and marketing campaign execution. Additionally, the candidate should be detailed oriented, have the desire to learn and grow, be adept at handling shift priorities, and possess strong writing skills.

The Details

  • Helps craft and execute marketing campaigns to drive FIRST® awareness; reaching a diverse set of audiences, driving team growth, and engaging key partner groups
  • Builds digital and social campaign content, including but not limited to: web and email copy, social copy, landing page development
  • Has the ability to conceptualize and execute marketing assets with the support of agency resources and builds plans for cross-channel distribution
  • Serves as day-to-day point of contact on assigned projects; works interdepartmentally to understand priorities, collaborates on marketing related objectives, and assists in asset creation and distribution
  • Builds detailed creative briefs and campaign planning documents; tracks results
  • Able to write strong messaging and longer-form content that resonates with target audiences
  • Assists in the planning, development, and execution of sponsor-supported engagements and campaigns to reach new audiences and drive leads
  • Experienced in developing and executing coordinated marketing and communications campaign plans across earned and owned media
  • Paid media experience highly preferred (performance and growth marketing), but not required
  • Supports global brand protection compliance activities, ensuring our brand and ethos is represented appropriately
  • Represents the organization and marketing team at external events, such as sponsor-related activities, tradeshows, and conferences

Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS or equivalent job experience and at least 2-years demonstrated marketing and communications experience
  • Proven B2B and B2C experience that drives lead generation and results in customer acquisition utilizing a broad array of marketing channels including content marketing, SEO/SEM, e-mail, advertising, social media, PR, events, and trade shows
  • Strong negotiating skills, high quality service, consistency, on brand, and timely internal client product delivery
  • Excellent copy writing and editing skills
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience working with, and managing, external vendor/partner relationships (photographers, videographers, scriptwriters, advertising agencies, designers, etc.)
  • Agency experience preferred
