Join our dynamic team! We are looking for an Outreach and Education Specialist who will be responsible for the development and implementation of a robust communication, outreach and education plan to inform the public of the Connections program; Adult and CAYAC teams. This position also focuses on building partnerships with community-based organizations, creating and delivering presentations and disseminating information through a wide variety of methods. Position may start remote due to COVID-19 (must live in Colorado at start of employment), with plan to return on-site.
Required: At least a B.A. in communications, public health, human services, social science, education or other relevant field. At least one year related experience in communications, community outreach and marketing.
Preferred: Advanced degree in a relevant field and/or significant responsibilities for informing people of public or non-profit programs.
Starting salary: $19.73 to $22.68 per hour DOQ

Health
Currently, we have 3 basic plan options available to our employees for medical coverage.
Dental
The Health District has a mandatory group dental plan for eligible employees.
Vision
A vision plan is available to employees. The Health District does not contribute towards the monthly premium for this coverage.
Retirement
The Health District offers a 401a to eligible employees. The Health District contributes 5% and the employee is required to contribute 3%. There is also a voluntary 457 plan available for the employee to designate an amount that they wish to contribute subject to the annual maximum amount allowable.
Holidays
Currently, we have 9 paid holidays available to our employees along with 2 floating holidays.
Flexible paid time off
Time off with pay is available to eligible employees to use as they choose for vacation, sick leave, or other personal needs. Flex time is earned and varies depending upon the number of hours worked weekly and the number of service years.
Employees working 30 hours or more receive 100% coverage for their premiums. Premiums for regular part time employees (between 20 and 29 hours per week) will be prorated according to the number of hours worked.
