Description

CAW seeks a Program Coordinator who will be based in the organization’s office in midtown Manhattan, with occasional travel to program locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

Creative Art Works ("CAW") is a 33-year-old creative youth development nonprofit that improves the lives of thousands of under-resourced youth each year through the power of art. Our programs include in-school and out-of-school-time classes, community art-making events, and our well-known public art youth employment program. Working in the underserved NYC neighborhoods, in public schools, community centers, parks, detention centers, temporary housing and libraries, CAW provides dynamic arts experiences for youth who otherwise lack access. Our programs equip children, teens and young adults with essential tools and skills; connect them with community, academic success and career opportunities; and inspire them to reach for new possibilities. Students are never charged for participation.

Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator will provide direct support for all programmatic activities including managing scheduling and reporting, communicating with program partners and teaching artist staff, and closely collaborating with Program Operations Manager and Program Manager of Teaching & Learning. This position is a great opportunity for a candidate with a demonstrated interest in nonprofit administration, arts education and/or youth development and a keen mind for building systems and infrastructure, to have significant impact on CAW and youth people and communities we serve.
