THIS POSITION IDEAL FOR A GRADUATE STUDENT WHO CAN WORK UPTO 20 HRS A WEEK . Rate of pay $26 per hour.

The Data and Evaluation Associate is a member of the Evaluation and Learning Department team, and provides data integrity, analysis, and reporting support to First Place for Youth and its funders. The primary responsibilities of the Data and Evaluation Analyst are to: produce data reports and analyses for funders and First Place managers, ensure the quality of the organization’s data by producing data integrity reports and working with program staff to correct any data errors, support internal and external evaluation projects, provide data entry support to direct service staff, maintain youth files, and conduct follow-up assessments with First Place alumni. Additionally, the Data and Evaluation Specialist oversees the In House Alameda County and Los Angeles Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) and other federal and state level data collection and reporting sites.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


·        Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for funders

·        Assist in the timely delivery of weekly, monthly and quarterly data reports

·        Respond to ongoing data requests by program managers and funders

·        Produce weekly data quality control reports

·        Collaborate with program staff and managers to ensure accuracy and reliability of agency data, and full compliance with internal and external data standards

·        Accurately, and in a timely fashion, enter participant assessments, service transactions, and other data into agency databases

·        Implement small scale evaluation projects and literature reviews.

·        Assist in the delivery of a comprehensive plan to find and assess youth after they exit the My First Place program; using multiple methods to contact youth, such as: phone, email, letters, and internet resource

·        Contribute to department newsletter and organizational issue briefs

·        Conduct one-on-one assessments with program alumni to gather pertinent data about their current status and the impact of services

·        Attend monthly agency staff meetings, monthly Evaluation and Learning team meetings, evaluation and performance management-related committee meetings, and individual weekly supervision

·        Work collaboratively with other members of the Evaluation and Learning team

·        Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience providing database or data reporting support in a social service agency preferred
  • Experience conducting research using mixed methods
  • Experience working with non-parametric data
  • Demonstrated commitment to helping improve the lives of disadvantaged populations
  • Computer literacy with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer and other basic software applications
  • Experience with program evaluation methods desired
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and SPSS or ETO skills desired
  • Ability to effectively monitor numerous data related details and accurately identify any errors or missing information
  • Sound judgment and very strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Friendly, flexible, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to generate data reports that are fully accurate in a timely manner
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and handle complex situations in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude, patience, and tact.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness even when experiencing changes in work responsibilities
