JOB SUMMARY

The Data Entry Assistant is responsible for the data entry of confidential tenant information into the King County Homeless Management Information System and completing other data entry assignments in Plymouth Housing Group's tenant information database as needed. This position will report to the Social Services Director, but will take daily work activities direction from the Data Analyst/Grant Coordinator responsible for monitoring Plymouth's data entry in to the HMIS database. This is a part-time (generally 12-20 hours per week) position.

Our mission is to eliminate homelessness and stabilize homeless and very-low-income people in housing by preserving, developing, and operating safe, decent, affordable housing, and by providing opportunities for homeless and very-low-income people to improve their lives. Plymouth owns and operates 13 apartment buildings in the downtown Seattle corridor, providing permanent homes to over 1,000 people.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

(Responsibilities, accountabilities, and competencies; may not include all duties of this job.)


•Attend BitFocus/Clarity HMIS training, plus additional training as necessary--and complete confidentiality certifications required.

•Enter confidential tenant data into HMIS from reports drawn out of Plymouth tenant database and other sources

•Enter confidential tenant data into Plymouth tenant database.

•Make corrections to data, working from exception reports drawn out of HMIS or Plymouth tenant database.

•Follow agency policies and procedures.

•Manage time and prioritize duties in order to complete work when due.

•Maintain good working relationships with staff involved in all aspects of internal data entry system.

•Assist Data Analyst/Grant Coordinator with data requests and report preparation.

•Other duties as directed by the Social Services Director.


ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

(Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience):


Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


Experience: One (1) year successful experience in database entry.


Other Qualifications:

•Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Excel. Must be able to work efficiently and effectively with customized databases and technology.

•Able to take direction, work independently, and proactively.

•Detail oriented; accurate; well organized; productive; able to meet deadlines in a professional manner.

•Ability to be flexible, supportive and to work cooperatively with co-workers.

•Able to maintain confidentiality of tenant and organizational information.


COMPENSATION

$14.28 - $16.40 per hour
