We have more than 100 member and partner churches and mosques, more than 25 barbershops and more than 200 childcare centers, who work to promote a caring economy and a multi-racial democracy that honors every person’s dignity. We do this work through intentional, intensive leadership development, collective action and deep partnerships with grassroots organizations and public servants.

Required Skills and Abilities:

The Director of Operations is self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong track record of successfully managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently. They are committed to the principles of social, racial, and economic justice, and have a strong leadership background. The position requires a critical thinker who is able to be fluid with rapidly changing environments. They have a proven track record of managing assignments and solving problems quickly and efficiently. 


The Director of Operations must possess exceptional planning and organizational skills, time management andinterpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Ideally, they will have at least five years of related experience, be knowledgeable of federal and state compliance laws governing 501c3/c4 organizations, as well as be proficient in current office/database software/apps, communication and collaboration tools. 

Position Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations reports to the Executive Director and oversees the Operations Team. This position is thekey role in leading a talented, dedicated team that minimizes weaknesses, shares strengths and maintains high standards. They will work professionally and effectively with diverse staff, partners, and the general public. 

Duties include (but are not limited to): 

Supervisory:

●      Recruit, interview, hire, and train new Operations staff.

●      Provide leadership oversight and administrative direction to the Operations Team, which includes Finance and Compliance; Payroll and Human Resources; Information Technology and Organizational Logistics for public facing events and internal operations.

 

Finance / Compliance / HR:

●      Develop and execute ISAIAH’S financial management strategy in partnership with the Executive Director.

●      Direct responsibility for finance, forecasting, strategic planning, contract negotiations, banking/accountant relationships, state and federal filings, and government compliance.

●      Direct oversight of accounting, grant project budgets and adherence to GAAP

●      Administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, policies, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations

IT / Organizational Logistics:

●      Oversee the Information Technology functions, providing oversight and direction to organization-wide technology planning and utilization 

●      Lease and facilities management; risk management; security management; energy management; and office supply procurement.

●      Oversee planning and external contract services for ISAIAH sponsored events and trainings.

**Any additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director

 

Position Details:

The Director of Operations is a full-time position. A Bachelor's Degree is required, Masters Degree and/or certifications in fiscal management/HR/nonprofit administration preferred. The successful candidate must be bondable, possess a valid MN driver’s license, and have access to an automobile. Regular in-state travel and infrequent out-of-state travel is required. Work-related expenses are reimbursed according to organizational policy. (Salary stuff here.) 


Compensation: 


Competitive salary (80K-100K) commensurate with experience; includes excellent benefits including health / dental insurance, retirement package and generous vacation.
