Grants Manager

Nearly 40,000 Americans are killed with guns each year. Everytown for Gun Safety is the nation’s largest organization working to prevent gun violence, and in just seven years we’ve established ourselves as a formidable counterweight to the NRA, changed the political calculus on gun safety, passed laws in red and blue states, and won court cases across the country. But there’s still a lot of work to be done. Mass shootings are back in the headlines, and the COVID-19 pandemic — and the surge in gun sales that followed — has exacerbated the risks of city gun violence, gun suicide, domestic gun violence, and unintentional shootings.

Everytown’s annual budget is split between two entities. The Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. It focuses on lobbying and advocating for gun safety in Washington, DC, all 50 state capitals, and in city halls across the country. It also engages in some electoral activity in support of gun safety. The Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. While much of the national conversation around gun safety has focused on the progress we’ve made on the political and legislative side, we have had an equal impact through our investments in changing the culture of gun safety in America through movement building, litigation, research, public education, and city gun violence prevention.

Grants Manager

Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking a Grants Manager to grow our portfolio of foundation and corporate donors to our 501(c)(3), and oversee the grant management process.
