San Francisco Friends School, a Quaker school located in the Mission District of San Francisco, seeks an experienced lower school Spanish teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Candidates need to have a strong Spanish language and instruction background, and be invested in collaborating with colleagues, working closely and developing relationships with elementary school students and families. Responsibilities include close teamwork for curriculum development, committee involvement, and student assessment. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons for two sections in each grade K-4th, working collaboratively as part of the spanish department K-8, and connecting with the other teachers in the school. The teacher will also be responsible for other duties deemed necessary by the head of school. 

Preferred qualities:

● Three or more years of experience teaching lower school Spanish

● Native Spanish speakers preferred

● Knowledge of current pedagogy and facility with hands-on and project-based instruction

● Openness to Quaker philosophy

● Collaborative and creative team player
