The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, governance and overseeing the successful delivery of Remote Energy’s (RE) educational programs. This high-level position will include new business development, program management and general operational duties.

The successful candidate will use their exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills to:

Business Development

●     Implement strategic tasks that align new programs with RE’s business strategies and goals

●     Author concept notes for new projects

●     Develop and maintain relationships with partners during project development and implementation

●     Assist the grant writer with the research and development of new projects -- from concept to submission

●     Be RE’s first point of contact for prospective projects, provide contacts with relevant materials, and foster the relationships through project completion

Project management

●     Optimize and improve RE’s internal project management processes

●     Work closely with RE staff members and Directors

●     Adapt staff workloads and timelines to meet project budget and schedules and ensure resource availability and allocation

●     Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Operations

●     Maintain correspondence and execute agreements and grant contracts

●     Maintain a database for students, donors and classes. Implement and train the RE team with new software if needed.

●    Provide student services support and be the first point of contact for questions submitted from our website

●     Provide administrative assistancesuch as renewing insurance policies, gathering monthly timesheets from staff, maintaining memberships with non-profit associations, etc.

Required Qualifications

●      Experience creating and managing highly efficient organizational procedures and systems

●      Effective communication skills using email, Zoom, Google drive, and other virtual tools

●      Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills

●      Excellent written and verbal skills in English

●      Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail

●      Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

●      Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

●      Experience working independently and remotely within a high-performing team

●     Five years or related experience with Program Management

This part time position is for 20 hours per week starting on August 1, 2021.   Remote Energy is based in Tacoma, Washington with remote offices throughout Washington State. Living in the Pacific Northwest is not required but high speed internet access and a willingness to work remotely and attend regular online-conference meetings is.
