The Jewish Federation of Howard County is seeking a full-time Annual Campaign Manager. The individual should be highly- motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about raising funds for the Jewish community. The Annual Campaign Manager will supervise the Campaign Associate and be the primary liaison with The Associated with respect to donor database management.  

 Fundraising & Friend-raising

  • Direct the Annual Campaign
  • Direct all emergency fundraising campaigns in coordination with the Executive Director
  • Direct all fundraising-related events, with select support of the Campaign Associate (e.g., Fed360, Mini Mission, Fed Live! Golf Tournament, etc.)
  • Manage Giving Tuesday and other strategic initiatives
  • Solicit gifts in coordination with the Annual Campaign Committee and the Executive Director
  • Steward donors throughout the year in coordination with the Executive Director
  • Proactively establish and nurture relationships with prospective donors
  • Manage corporate sponsorship program and solicit gifs from business and corporations
  • Proactively establish relationships with attendees of events and programs with the purpose of funneling them into annual campaign, JFHC events and committees
  • Develop and implement all online solicitation efforts
  • Develop and implement all direct mail efforts and phone-a-thons, in partnership with the Campaign Associate
  • Oversee all giving levels and associated programming:
  • Chai Society 
  • Ben Gurion Society 
  • Community 
  • Knesset Club 
  • Pomegranate Society 
  • Tree of Life Society
  • Lion of Judah 
  • Top Gifts
  • FedWomen Division (run by Campaign Associate)

Committees/Volunteer Leadership

  • Staff the Annual Campaign Committee, Campaign Workers and all giving level chairs
  • Work closely with the Vice President – Campaign, Board of Directors, Executive Director, and others to achieve Annual Campaign and emergency campaign fundraising goals
  • Design programs and training sessions to train volunteer leadership and provide them skills as solicitors and as ambassadors for the JFHC
  • Manage and implement the jLEADS program



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years experience in fundraising and managing special projects/events
  • Strong computer skills (experience with donor database preferred) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, relationship-building and leadership skills with a proven ability interact effectively with a diverse population
  • Significant involvement and knowledge of the Jewish community
  • Ability to articulate and implement an annual strategic development plan 
  • A passion for making a difference in the Jewish community and beyond, and enthusiasm for the Federation's mission
