Position Summary:

The Westchester regional offices of UJA-Federation are looking for a full-time administrative partner and administrator to support multiple professionals and maintain office responsibilities.

The candidate needs to be a motivated individual who is proactive, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The person should be a team player and willing to help when needed in overall office requests.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the staff in the Westchester Region, assisting three or four fundraising professionals in their daily work.
  • Learn UJA fundraising and reporting systems to aid the fundraising professionals.
  • Communicate with donors over the phone, in-person, and in email.
  • Provide event support for events in their portfolio and assist as needed for other events.
  • Use the fundraising database to process gifts and payments, manage event registrations, run giving reports/lists, and track/upload attendance at meetings, events, programs, and missions.
  • Support overall fundraising requests and initiatives.
  • Attend trainings on office systems and procedures to stay up to date and serve as a resource to the team on them as needed.
  • Various projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Proven track record in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook are required).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and administrative skills.
  • Flexible and proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to screen telephone calls and respond appropriately, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organization skills and an ability to understand systems and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Effective time management, with the ability to multitask in an extremely fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to work at events and programs when required, which may occasionally be outside of normal business hours.
  • Positive work ethic and the belief in the UJA mission.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
