Description


Responsibilities:


·        Work closely with Beacon Director, Assistant Director, Outreach Coordinator and Evening and Saturday

Coordinator to ensure that all DYCD attendance and enrollment is entered accurately into database

·        Conduct outreach to families and communities about student absenteeism and upcoming events

·        Maintain and organize staff meeting minutes and agendas

·        Organizing DYCD attendance sheets, sign in/sign out sheets, and applications

·        Adminisitrative responsibilities including answering phones, organizing files and applications, making copies for

events and distributing to group leaders

·        Knowledge of Beacon Outcomes and contractual obligations and an ability to work to meet those goals


·        Required Academic and Experience Qualifications:


·        HS graduate or GED recipient, required

·        Ability to multitask

·        Experience working in NYC public schools or with community based organizations, preferred

·        Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and positive rapport with children and adults

·        Must have strong verbal communication skills, and willingness to accept constructive guidance from

supervisors

·        Must have the ability to work as part of a team, take initiative and work under pressure while adapting to

changing priorities

·        Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
