Website Coordinator/Non-Teaching Adjunct

For over 15 years, the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) has been leading online education in New York. Notable for offering the most online bachelor’s and master’s degree options at the City University of New York, and for serving transfer students as the University system’s only undergraduate all-transfer college, CUNY SPS meets the needs of adults who wish to finish a bachelor’s degree, progress from an associate’s degree, earn a master’s degree or certificate in a specialized field, and advance in the workplace or change careers.

The School’s growth has been remarkable, with twenty-four degrees launched since 2006. Enrollment has risen by more than 30% in the last four years to over 4,000 students in the credit-bearing programs. Thousands more are enrolled in non-degree and grant-funded workplace learning programs. In addition, the School has an active alumni network and has established the CUNY SPS Foundation, which offers multiple scholarship opportunities to current students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Web and Digital Communications Manager, the Website Coordinator will:

• Coordinate with the website manager for content updates and new projects for our Drupal CMS website, https://sps.cuny.edu/ – ensuring the web content is up-to-date and pages are consistent in design and in user experience
• Assist with management of the website ticketing system to facilitate updates in our CMS
• Attend meetings for new sections and pages for content collaboration and project management
• Assist in designing landing pages for adult learners that are engaging and intuitive
• Exhibit understanding of brand standards and be comfortable communicating with stakeholders on current web trends
• Manage the process of posting web content, working with campus offices to collect assets as needed
• Help develop new ideas for content that will enhance the experience on website

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years prior experience with web content editing
• At least 2 years of experience using a Drupal content management system
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript fundamentals
• Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud Design Programs
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex work environment.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility standards
• The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, with an understanding of the latest web trends

Note: While the Website Coordinator/Non-Teaching Adjunct positon is currently remote, the selected finalist is expected to have access to a laptop/computer, internet and phone access to perform most job duties and responsibilities. Upon return to normal campus operations, this position will transition to our physical office located at 119 W 31^st Street, New York, NY 10001.
