The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration, a non-profit organization serving the greater New York metropolitan area, is a leader in the field of curing blindness for thousands of men, women and children through cornea transplantation. About to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2020, The Eye-Bank readily incorporates today’s best practices and state-of-the-art technologies across all departments ocular laboratory; fundraising; public and professional education in ways that effectively advance its sight-saving mission of providing the beautiful gift of sight.
The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration, Inc. has one opening for a part-time Family Support Coordinator (FSC) to assist with its efforts to help restore sight through eye donation and cornea transplantation. The FSCs primary responsibilities are to confirm medical histories with hospital staff and to contact next of kin by telephone to offer the option of eye donation, when appropriate. There is an immediate opening for one part-time position, working three days per week.
- Friday thru Sunday: 7am - 3pm
Candidates must be well spoken and comfortable speaking with bereaved families. Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelors’ degree, preferably with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
Level of Language Proficiency
Fluent in Spanish a plus.
