The Role: is a technology non-profit that is serious about customer service. We are seeking an IT Specialist who is eager to play a key support role on a results-oriented team that delivers excellent customer service to every member of the organization. A typical week may involve managing users and devices in G Suite, resolving OSX, Windows and ChromeOS device issues, onboarding new hires, creating detailed clear technical instructions, organizing and maintaining inventory, calmly resolving unforeseen issues as they arise and assisting with general People Operations support.

In this role you will:

  • Respond to staff IT inquires and troubleshoot user requests in Zendesk and Slack channels
  • Onboard and offboard employees
  • Research and recommend improvements for internal business processes
  • Manage and organize IT equipment inventory
  • Assist with SAAS platform management
  • Assist with data management
  • Set up AV for all-staff meetings and external guest speakers
  • Lead instructional IT sessions

This position might be for you if :

  • You have experience supporting organizations that use G Suite, Google Hangouts, RingCentral; have provided helpdesk support for 50+ users; and/or have supported remote users.
  • You are decisive, energetic, and take pride in your work quality
  • You are passionate about IT and have a customer service mindset; you ask the right questions to provide top-notch support.
  • You are resourceful and enjoy taking initiative. Your first instinct is to find the perfect solution or process improvement. You know the best place to find an answer, whether it’s Google, your manager, or your peers.
  • You are an organized project manager and can balance competing priorities and requests. You never miss a deadline. 
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and can communicate your thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively to showcase your inner geek.
  • You are flexible. You’re able to stop what you are working on to address urgent IT issues and you are comfortable adapting your priorities as the organization continues to grow
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • You have or plan to obtain one or more of the following certifications:
  • Any CompTia
  • ACMT (Apple)
  • ITIL Foundation (ITIL)
  • MCSA
