For over 50 years, The Gateway School has transformed the lives of children who have experienced academic difficulty as a result of a language-based learning disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, executive function disorder, visual-spatial or auditory processing difficulties, and/or gross and fine motor coordination issues. Located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Gateway enrolls 160 students between the ages of 5-14 in a Lower School and Middle School.
Our dynamic, fast-paced Business Office has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Associate who will handle all aspects of accounts payable including entering invoices, processing payments, mailing checks and negotiating with vendors. The Accounts Payable Associate will reconcile bank statements for multiple checking accounts, reconcile payroll deductions with employee benefit plans and be responsible for other administrative duties.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
This is a 12 month a year, full-time position. Work schedule is 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Gateway School is an equal opportunity employer.
