The American Bar Foundation (“ABF”) seeks a part-time, temporary (project-based) Data Analyst. The American Bar Foundation is a nonprofit, independent research institute committed to empirical research on law, legal institutions, and legal processes.
Duties of the Position
The main responsibility of this position will be to conduct quantitative data analyses of a survey of alumni for the American Bar Association Initiative, Achieving Long-Term Success of Women Lawyers. This initiative seeks to understand the personal, social, and organizational factors that enhance or impede legal careers.
The position requires demonstrated experience in:
1. managing data and querying databases, and
2. analyzing quantitative data.
• Masters or ABD in a quantitative social science field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Marketing).
• Experience conducting sophisticated statistical analysis of quantitative data using SPSS.
• Strong attention to detail is critical.
• Ability to meet deadlines and organize tasks for completion within designated time periods.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time, temporary position. The position will start as soon as possible, with an anticipated schedule of 15-16 hours per week for a period of 2-5 weeks.
No travel is expected for this position.
