The New Movement to Redress Racial Segregation (NMRRS) seeks a dynamic Sr. Campaign Organizer with management, organizing, and campaign experience to lead local strategy to redress residential segregation.

The right person for this position will have a dedication to the principles of ending residential segregation, understanding the roles of national, state and local governments in designing segregated neighborhoods while possessing substantial experience in, campaign management, strategic planning, coalition building, and mobilizing people to action.


The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full-time grassroots organizing and campaign-building experience, including particular experience in campaigns in housing, community organizing, and direct action. While we estimate about 8 years of experience in the areas listed above, our focus will be on demonstrated experience and success, not just years.

The Senior Campaign Organizer will report to the National Organizing Director.


The Senior Campaign Organizer responsibilities will include the following major

initiatives:

❖ Organizing communities, including digital organizing and volunteer management;

❖ Collaboration with the like-minded organizations and securing local bases across the nation;

❖ Reviewing, recommending key legislative strategies;

❖ Provide direct campaign strategic planning, including research and campaign design, and support plan implementation;

❖ Design and facilitate campaign and organizing trainings for NMRRS affiliates and their members;

❖ Collaborate with other NMRRS teams, including Research, Communications, and Base-Building;

❖ Produce fundamental organizing and campaign-building tools, including research and policy briefs and digital communications, to support affiliates;

❖ Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and coalitions to move relevant

campaigns;

❖ Support program fundraising, as needed.
