About the Director of Resident & Land Stewardship Role
BVCLT is led by a horizontal leadership structure by its board and staff. The Director of Resident & Land Stewardship will be the one of co-director to BVCLT’s staff collective, and will collaborate with the other staff to manage BVCLT's day-to-day operations and participate in developing democratic governance structures guiding the growth of the organization.
The Director of Resident & Land Stewardship will primarily focus on resident engagement, capacity building, and caretaking of The White House Place Learning Garden. They will serve as a direct liaison with residents and create processes to support residents in collective management of their homes. They will spearhead property management, capacity building for residents, housing cooperative development, and compliance of garden programming. The Director of Resident & Land Stewardship may also work in coalition spaces to share best practices and resources on housing cooperatives development, resident capacity building, and property maintenance.

32 hour work week, healthcare stipend, staff development training fund, Unlimited PTO, 2 weeks of winter holidays office closure, and all federal holidays recognized as paid time off. Staff Collective also vote on other times to shut down the office for rest.
