The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC) offers an array of programming for both youth and adults in Staten Island, focusing on engaging those with current or past justice involvement, and those at-risk for justice involvement. SIJC operates two diversion programs—Project READY, an alternative to detention program that provides case management and rigorous compliance monitoring for young people with delinquency cases in Family Court, and Youth Impact, a peer-led restorative justice and leadership development program.
SIJC is seeking a Program Associate who will assist with Project READY and Staten Island Youth Impact programs. Reporting to the Youth Justice Coordinator and Director of Community Programs, the Program Associate will support compliance monitoring and reporting for court-involved youth in Project READY, as well as develop and facilitate weekly collaborative programming activities—including group workshops and individual mentorship sessions. The Program Associate joins SIJC at an exciting time as it continues growing its youth programming opportunities. Activities will take place virtually, on-site, and in the community.
