Description & Purpose of the Position:
- Internal Alignment of Campaigns with Organizational Mission (BIG PICTURE)
- Make connections between strategic areas of work by connecting people and ideas.
- Initiate and bottom line strategic thinking and planning to help teams align their work plan with the strategic direction of those campaigns
- Facilitate internal and collaborative processes to help set and execute campaign goals.
- Internal Coordination of Staff & Campaign Work (SMALL DETAILS & SYNTHESIS)
- Complete a regular “landscape assessment” of staff and Board/team members through 1-1s and/or group meetings to coordinate efforts and ensure we are 1) staying mission aligned and 2) that the work can be supportive of one another - cross pollination between campaign work
- Facilitate and organize internal strategy meetings and conversations between staff and contractors
- Support follow through coordination, communication, and implementation (e.g. help staff set and meet realistic deadlines)
- Promote Consensus building both within the organization and with work partners
- Support Staff with Professional Development Efforts
- Seek, investigate and inform team members (individually and collectively) of appropriate developmental opportunities in the current field, and how to apply for them (some assistance may be required)
- Prepare proposed developmental plans with team members and assess progress
- Assist team with the addition of professional development to their time management systems
Additional responsibilities
- Admin and writing tasks to build capacity
- Reporting on progress at monthly strategy meetings and quarterly board meetings

Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2+ years experience as a project manager, campaign manager or director
- 2+ years experience coordinating with multiple people to build consensus (consensus-based organizational decision-making) on developing and executing a shared work plan
Skill-sets:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Active listening
- Consensus-building/ team building skills and experience
Work qualities:
- Clear and prompt in communication via mutually agreed upon channels (email, phone, text, etc)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented
- Has a keen eye for synthesizing complex ideas, systems, patterns, constraints, and tensions.
Logistics:
- Have access to reliable internet connection
- Have access to reliable transportation (bus, bike, car)
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
- Project management experience
- “Facilitative leadership” - Experience in a leadership role that is about facilitating the work of others (versus a “command and control” version of leadership)
- Familiarity with inter-organizational movement work
- Experience reporting to a board of directors (non-profit/NGO preferred)

- Methodical process of evaluating work to test effectiveness of approaches
