Description

EVkids empowers youth grades 4 to 12 from Boston’s inner city with the skills and confidence needed to realize their potential. We create a community of support through 1-on-1 multi-year academic mentoring matches with college volunteers, professional family engagement and school advocacy, and a life-changing summer camp experience at our 9-acre site in Vermont. EVkids Tutoring currently runs two sites in Dorchester and will be opening a third Boston site in Fall 2018. Our new College Success Project will provide support to students as they transition into and eventually graduate from college.

A highly skilled, self-starting grant writer is needed to secure ongoing and additional funding to support the existing two sites as well as the third expansion site and the new College Success Project. Reporting to the Director of Giving, the Grants Coordinator will build on EVkids’ strong program operations, close relationships with local funders, and solid communications strategy to gain and retain institutional funders. This position is available immediately on a contract basis (10-15 hrs/wk).

Rooted in the Catholic tradition of social justice, EVkids is a faith-based organization that respects the various backgrounds and experiences that have brought our staff and volunteers together to work towards a more equitable and compassionate world. We are committed to a diverse workplace and do not discriminate based on race, age, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability.
