The Hepatitis Education Project (HEP) is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency committed to improving health of underserved communities disproportionately impacted by viral hepatitis and envisions a world where everyone has access to affordable, high-quality care to support all their health needs. Driven by the values and principles of social justice and harm reduction, our programs include Prevention and Outreach, Medical Case Management, Correctional Health, and Policy and Advocacy. Through these programs, HEP serves people at risk for or living with viral hepatitis, with a focus on disproportionately impacted communities including people experiencing homelessness and/or housing instability; people who are uninsured/underinsured; people who use drugs; incarcerated or formerly incarcerated individuals; and immigrant and refugee communities. HEP aims to improve the health of marginalized communities by providing low-barrier services that reduce the negative consequences associated with drug use, homelessness, incarceration, and infectious diseases.


JOB DESCRIPTION:                                             

HEP is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide consultation, and clinical supervision to direct service case management and outreach staff serving people who use drugs, people with mental health disorders, people engaged in sex work, and people experiencing homelessness. The Clinical Supervisor will provide guidance in development of policies and procedures related to crisis intervention, boundaries, grief, and burnout prevention; in addition to mentorship in behavior change, conflict mediation, and accountability. The Supervisor will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to Program Managers as well as their direct reports. 


Responsibilities include:

·        Provide clinical oversight to Medical Case Management, STEP Clinic (medications for opioid use disorder program), and Prevention & Outreach programs individually and in groups;

·        Guide development of clinical policies and procedures in accordance with harm reduction based best practices;

·        Ensure development and maintenance of effective boundaries in a low-barrier setting;

·        Support infrastructure to improve direct service staff onboarding and retention;

·        Consult on development of more robust behavioral health services, including billable services and substance use disorder services;

·        Review case notes on an as needed basis;

·        Provide clinical supervision to employees seeking licensure.


QUALIFICATIONS 


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must possess current Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential om Washington State and maintain active license in good standing throughout employment;
  • Must have possessed LICSW for a minimum of five years and be an Approved Clinical LICSW Supervisor in Washington State;
  • Three or more years providing clinical supervision and oversight to frontline staff serving vulnerable populations including people experiencing homelessness, people who have mental health and/or substance use disorders, in behavioral health or case management programs;
  • Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based treatment modalities with a clinical framework deeply rooted in harm reduction, client self-determination, and social justice;
  • Experience developing clinical program standards and staff-wide training protocols related to conflict mediation, crisis de-escalation, and related topics.  


Desired Qualifications: 

  • Licensed as an approved Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) supervisor;
  • Experience using/teaching Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT);
  • Understanding of medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and integration into harm reduction framework.
