Just-A-Start (JAS) is a community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to building a better future by providing affordable housing, education and training, community engagement and supportive services. As the Resource Development Associate, you will help support the fundraising initiatives for foundation and corporate grants and contributions and oversee marketing and communications activities for the organization. Among other tasks, the Resource Development Associate will be responsible for proposal development and submission, grant tracking, funding opportunity research, overseeing marketing materials and assisting with social media.


As the Resource Development Associate, you will help strengthen the philanthropic program of the organization through managing a portfolio of individual donors and assisting in the identification and solicitation of new individual donors; coordinating the planning, management, and implementation of special events; and overseeing marketing and communications initiatives, including collateral design, web site, electronic communication, social media, etc.


REQUIREMENTS:

·        Associate’s degree and a minimum of two years related experience or equivalent

·        Minimum of one year of fundraising experience preferred

·        Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Office, including Power Point, Excel and Word. Salesforce, WordPress, InDesign, Illustrator, Constant Contact experience a plus.

·        Familiarity with social media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
