JOB DESCRIPTION 


Summary/Objective  


Dress for Success Worldwide is seeking an experienced development or relationship management professional with a passion for women’s economic empowerment to oversee corporate partnerships. This position works directly with the Vice President of Development and manages a portfolio of corporate accounts. S/he has exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is adept at managing multiple accounts and projects with confidence, poise, and efficacy. This role is based in New York City.

Essential Functions 


The Manager will manage an account portfolio valued at over $2.4 million comprised of cause marketing, co-branding, employee engagement, and related partnerships. S/he will also be responsible for securing corporate sponsors for organizational events, conferences, and participation in signature campaigns. Functions include prospecting, pitching, proposal and grant writing, reporting, stewardship, relationship management, and customer service. 


This role works closely with other members of the development team as well as program, affiliate relations, and communications teams. 


Responsibilities


1. Work closely with the Vice President, Development to develop and implement a multi-year strategy for growing corporate support 

2. Manage a portfolio of accounts including significant and high-profile partnerships

3. Build and cultivate long-term relationships with current and prospective corporate funders to deepen their investment in the DFS mission

4. Provide account management to ensure that partner deadlines, goals, and deliverables are met

5. Secure worldwide and local corporate sponsorships for events and conferences

6. Provide prospect research and evaluate brand alignment and make recommendations to the Vice President, Development

7. Work closely with marketing, communication, events, affiliates, and programs to support partnerships

8. Develop results/feedback reports for all corporate partners following events and campaigns

9. Perform other related duties, as assigned

Required Education and Experience

 

1. Bachelor’s degree in management, communications, marketing, sales, or equivalent

2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in nonprofit and corporate fundraising, CSR, and/or relationship management

3. Past responsibility for account management at six-figure level and above

4. Nonprofit fundraising experience preferred

5. Familiarity with fundraising software or equivalent CRM 

6. Familiarity with email distribution platforms

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 


This is a full-time position with typical work hours; the days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. The employee must be able to have on-time arrival to the Manhattan office and available during the “core” work hours. There are times when evenings or weekends may be required due to the nature of the position. Travel is primarily local during the business day, but occasional travel may be required. 


Work Environment 

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position occasionally is performed in outside weather conditions.

Work Authorization 

Must be able to show eligibility for employment in the United States within three days of hire. 


Physical Demands 

The employee must, on occasion, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
