Who we are looking for:

A high performing Clinical Research Protocol Manager to join the Research and Analysis Division (RAD) of the Center for Research and Analytics. The selected candidate will manage specific TAPUR Study Protocol Team activities and personnel for a multi-site clinical trial in cancer research, the Targeted Agent and Profiling Utilization Registry (TAPUR) Study (www.tapur.org), including serving as a liaison to TAPUR clinical centers.


What you will do:

  • Plan, manage, and lead specific TAPUR Study Protocol Team activities and Protocol Team personnel supporting study deliverables and goals
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of protocol, manuals, study forms, study memos and other study documents
  • Provide support in the conduct and monitoring for the TAPUR study and act as a study liaison for study centers, ensure protocol adherence, investigate issues, respond in a timely manner, and coordinate activation and/or study closeout activities of research centers
  • Develop and participate in study webinars and protocol trainings
  • Work with study team and research centers to resolve data discrepancies, troubleshoot issues with the research centers in the electronic data capture (EDC) system
  • Develop or maintain study documentation (e.g. protocol compliance tools, tracking and supporting IRB submissions and approvals, etc.)
  • Manage additional Protocol Team activities (programmatic and operational) such as but not limited to TAPUR Study inbox, resolution of data discrepancies and data and/or procedural issues, and study committees (e.g., Steering Group, Molecular Tumor Board, and patient advocates, excluding the Data and Safety Monitoring Board)
  • Work with Study Director on other projects and/or collaborations as requested


What you will need in order to be successful:

  •  Bachelor's degree, preferably in the health sciences or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of clinical research experience
  • Familiarity with study protocols, protocol adherence methodologies, and EDC systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and mentoring employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see the big picture and exercise judgment and a focus on quality control
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Self-managed with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to effectively summarize and present information
  • Commitment to work within a team to meet timelines and deliverables with a strong focus on customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on project management and effectiveness


Ideal candidates will also contribute:

  • Experience working in clinical trials at the sponsor level
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals
  • Experience with project management or in the oncology field
  • Master’s degree in a science related field (i.e. public health, epidemiology)
