Camp Starfish is a dynamic, forward-thinking, independent 501(c)3 non-profit which provides summer and year-round programs to children and teens with significant emotional, behavioral, learning and social challenges. We are guided by our mission to foster the success and growth of our campers by providing individualized attention as part of structured, nurturing and fun group programs. Camp Starfish was founded in 1998, became operational in the summer of 2000, purchased its permanent home in Rindge, NH in 2008, and celebrated its 20^th anniversary in 2019. 

 With a unique 1:1 staff to camper ratio, Camp Starfish serves youth with emotional, social, behavioral, & learning challenges. We seek a Temporary Full Time Director of Staff Experience (DSE) to onboard in March and cover DSE role from April through Summer. Help complete hiring, documentation, and onboarding a seasonal team of approx. 100 (amazing!) staff. Summer duties include: assist in training staff, support Camp Director & Year Round Director in running camp, oversee staff performance evaluations, assist with camper behavioral support-- while helping to nurture a caring, fun camp community.

Successful candidates will bring: empathy, with strong teamwork, organizational, supervisory and communication skills. Ability to lead a diverse team, with passion for supporting staff as they help youth with emotional/behavioral challenges. Mental health counseling & staff training experience a plus.

Work remotely, or at our MA office from March-April. Must live/work on-site in Rindge from May-August. Full time temporary position, competitive salary. Applications accepted on rolling basis for early March start.
