About the position: 

Manager, Corporate Advisory Services is a growth role focused on providing project support across a growing portfolio of clients engagements. The Manager will report directly to the Senior Director, Solutions at JFFLabs.  

The Manager will be an integral part of the broader Corporate Leadership team at JFF, working closely with team members to take our community and client base to the next level. This role will work across engagements to provide project management support, analysis, and strategic advisory to clients turning to JFF for social impact and talent management strategies.

The Manager plays an important role in this environment and is helping to build something starting from the ground level. The position therefore requires a dynamic, agile leader who is comfortable across a wide variety of responsibilities.  

What you’ll do:  

Key responsibilities of the position include:  

 

 

  • Project Management: Support a variety of internal- and external-facing projects. Some projects are with small teams, while others may engage larger teams of people who are from both inside and outside of our organization. In many cases, you play an instrumental coordinating role on a project, and must be comfortable managing up and across a team that is comprised of individuals from different parts of the organization. 

 

  • Research, Analysis & Deliverable Creation: Contribute to the research, thought leadership and drafting of deliverables. Ensure content is high quality, insightful, and timely. 

 

  • Business & Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong external relationships and partnerships with leaders in our field. Help to devise and support a partnership strategy.  

 

  • Meeting Planning & Management: Support the team with the development of a range of meetings, workshops, and collaborative/consultative sessions with prospects, clients, and other external stakeholders.  

 

  • Business Development: Support the growth of the Solutions business through management of the pipeline, proposal development support and tracking the overall business development process flow. 

 

Who you are:  

Program Management & Execution 

  • You have top-notch operational and problem solving abilities. You are able to take a complex set of inputs and turn them into clear, actionable workplans that will deliver results.  
  • You are a great communicator. Both your verbal and written capabilities are tightly honed; you can clearly frame and share information to the designated audience in a clear and compelling way that achieves the outcomes required.  
  • You are strategic. You understand how decisions get made, you can take in multiple inputs at the same time, and you evaluate what choices are on the table in order to take action and chart a path forward.  
  • You are an experienced project manager, who is able to juggle complex projects and leadership styles with grace and precision, managing them from inception through execution. 
  • You have entrepreneurial ability and are enthusiastic about exploring and testing new possibilities. You thrive in a start-up environment and are an agile problem-solver.  
  • You have 3+ years of relevant experience, working in one or more of the following fields/areas of focus: corporate talent management, learning and development, corporate social responsibility, workforce development, education, economic opportunity, management consulting, or nonprofit/corporate partnerships

Cross-sector experience 

  • You have direct experience working with F500 companies or within the private sector, with exposure to executive-level decision-makers, CSR leaders, and/or HR leaders and managers.

  • You possess high energy and passion for JFF’s mission, the work of JFFLabs, and our private sector strategy. You have direct experience and nuanced knowledge of the issues of economic opportunity and/or workforce development.  
  • You believe deeply in the power of the private sector to drive positive change in society. You have a demonstrated ability to influence companies to shift strategies and practices that drive positive change.
