The Institutional Funding and Partnerships (IFP) Team act as a custodian of WaterAid's International Programme's Restricted Programme Funding Strategy, and is responsible for supporting WaterAid to secure and manage sustainable restricted funding to deliver on its programme ambition through:


* Cultivating and securing income from WaterAid's Institutional Donors for all WaterAid Federation programmes

* Supporting the effective design of restricted funding programmes/bids (esp. on strategic, high value and/or complex opportunities) across all income streams

* Ensuring the enabling environment is in place for the effective management of all restricted income


The Business Development & Partnerships functional area sits within IFP, and leads on developing relationships with key institutional donors, scoping and creating funding opportunities, and positioning and partnership development.


As the Partnerships Manager, Institutional Funding you will be critical in building the profile of WaterAid with key institutional donors, identifying and creating funding opportunities, and working across the whole federation and with key suppliers / contractors to position WaterAid to be the partner of choice for WASH.


We are looking for a strategic networker with the ability to identify and transform opportunities into tangible results. With a strong business development and partnership development background, you will have significant expertise and knowledge in the ways of working of key donors such as the FCDO, EU, SDC, World Bank, and other bilateral and multilateral institutional donors.


This is a 12-month, full time fixed term maternity cover, with possibility of extension. The post holder should be located in the UK or in a country where WaterAid has a presence (WaterAid programme countries) with a reasonable overlap in working hours with the UK.


Salary:

The UK-based salary for this role is c.£46,000 with excellent benefits. Salaries for different countries will vary in line with WaterAid's country salary scales.

Additional Information:

WaterAid is currently located at Canary Wharf, London. Due to current restrictions on office capacity the majority of our staff are working from home. All aspects of this including how we are supporting homeworking and the office transition will be discussed at the interview stage with you.
