  • Partner with Executive Director and her designees to ensure the implementation of best practices with federal and state employment law; and
  • Review and update the employee manual and related policies with input and approval from Executive Director and Board of Directors.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Proven HR experience, including excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Initiative, curiosity, and the drive to create positive change;
  • Positive, welcoming, efficient and creative approach to problem-solving;
  • Passion for the VRLC mission;
  • Commitment to prioritize anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion;
  • Strong attention to detail, an ability to multitask, and a desire to add value wherever you can;
  • Strong administrative skills (including Microsoft Office) and comfort using video technology;
  • Willingness to communicate via video conference; and
  • Prior experience working in a non-profit (preferred).

This position provides an opportunity to manage your own schedule and balance your time between working at the Boston office and home, consistent with workplace needs. You will work from our other offices periodically to encourage a supportive work culture and to ensure consistency in policies and practices. This will require periodic travel to other VRLC offices once it is safe to do so.
