Company Description: CYT Inc. upholds and manages the CYT IP, Model, and Branding that licensed Christian Youth Theater Branches use in local programming.  CYT's mission is to develop character and creativity in kids of all ages through quality theater arts training that brings families and communities together while reflecting the Creator.

Basic Function:  The Development Lead will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with supporters and prospects while raising funds for CYT’s strategic and capital needs. The Development Lead will focus on building a sustainable and growing annual giving program; developing a major gifts strategy; and general donor relations. In addition, they will manage a portfolio of donors, perform prospect management and gift solicitation, and serve as an Ambassador for Christian Youth Theater.

Job Classification / Hours: Part-Time, 10 hours per week (hourly/flexible hours), non-exempt. Due to the part-time nature of this position, benefits including paid-time-off are not available.This position is a part-time, remote work opportunity.  

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstration of development leadership in a non-profit organization with a passion for CYT’s mission.
  • 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit philanthropy with an emphasis on individual and major gifts.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge/skills in word processing, spreadsheets, etc
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort making donor contacts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build donor relationships and identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and close gifts in any range.
  • Relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences.
  • Produce excellent written and verbal communications to include successful donor correspondence and marketing ideas.
  • Understand and educate on the full spectrum of Development, including gift policies, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, donor recognition, prospect research, high-level boards, support groups, and administration.
  • Work actively and closely with the CYT Board of Directors and staff
