  • Identify opportunities to partner with outside organizations that are highly intentional and elevate MFAN’s brand
  • Represent MFAN and yourself with care, polish, and authentic commitment to positive outcomes for military families

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Organization, or similar.
  • 5 years experience supervising staff members and volunteers
  • Proven experience coordinating large scale events
  • Appreciation for military life and an understanding of the military and veteran organization landscape

  • Facilitation experience and the ability to work with stakeholders to drive collaborative, meaningful impact
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Familiarization with Microsoft 365 products including MS Project

A successful community outreach manager will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the areas listed above, be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, have superior attention to detail, and be polished in all forms of communication. Most importantly, a successful candidate will have a passion for supporting military families, a positive attitude, and be willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

This is a remote full-time position with travel to our community sites at least quarterly. Candidates are expected to have access to reliable transportation, a computer, internet, and a cell phone. Occasional weekend and after-hours work can be expected.
