Position Description:

The Program Associate position is a full-time, early career position that reports to the President. The Program Associate provides both administrative and programmatic support to the organization. The Program Associate should be highly self-motivated, and demonstrate a deep commitment to peacebuilding and to HasNa’s mission and vision.

The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Associate include but are not limited to:

Administrative duties (30%)

·       Perform administrative and book-keeping duties such as running payroll, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial review, recording income and expenses using Quickbooks

·       Provide logistical support to the President (appointment scheduling and calendar maintenance, travel arrangements, receipts, and reimbursement requests)

Program Assistance (70%)

·       Support the President in HasNa’s institutional advancement and fundraising by researching and sourcing request for proposals, tenders, procurements, grants and collaboration opportunities

·       Assist in planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of HasNa’s training programs

·       Prepare reports and presentations for outreach and publicity

·       Maintain and update content on HasNa’s website

·       Research and write blog posts/articles for online dissemination

·       Assist in the planning and execution of community events and other outreach activities

·       Maintain and update contact database on Salesforce

·       Supervise interns as and when required

·       Other special projects or assignments as requested by the President

 

 Skills and Qualifications:

·       BA/BS degree with a demonstrable interest in peacebuilding, international development and/or related subjects; MA/MS degree strongly preferred

·       2+ years of relevant work experience in international development, non-profit and/or administrative experience

·       Familiarity with Quickbooks and CRM systems, Mailchimp/Google Forms, and high technological proficiency are big advantages

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Turkish or Arabic is desirable

·       Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the flexibility and willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines

·       Strong leadership skills and high self-motivation

·       Cross-cultural awareness and diplomacy

Remuneration: Gross annual salary for this full-time staff position (40 hours/week) is USD 40,000 + benefits. This is non-negotiable.

Duration: This is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension
