Position Summary 

The Loop Lab (TLL) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the needs of our growing organization and Media Arts/AV Programming. This position reports to the Program Manager of The Loop Lab. This person will support the Program Manager in creating and executing curriculum, and provides audio and video technical instruction and operations management for The Loop Lab.

About the Loop Lab

TLL is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Cambridge, MA. Our mission is to empower women and people of color to develop careers in the creative economy through job training and job placement. We help to sustain our mission by producing quality content to our clients and supporters through our Media Production Studio. 

Scope of Work

TLL’s Program Coordinator will help with developing effective systems for managing the various programs of The Loop Lab, with priority towards the media arts internship program. The Coordinator will work with the Program Manager in developing, documenting, and managing all aspects of programming and instruction.


PROGRAM COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to

  • Provides primary support in creating and implementing programming and instruction
  • Working with the Program Manager to document existing and new curriculum
  • Coordinates the scheduling of educational partners and adjunct instructors
  • Acts as liaison for referring agencies and partner programs
  • Keeps up with current developments in the fields of audio and video production, education, and certification
  • Builds relationships with TLL trainees and alums, including providing mentorship and guidance in partnership with the Program Manager
  • Gather and analyze data from past, existing, and potential programs to aid program team in implementing effective programs
  • Collaborates with program team, production studio clients, producers, community partners, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for intersectional programming with TLL programs
  • Manages interns, as required
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the TLL office
  • Other duties as assigned


Who We Think We Are Looking For...

We are looking for an outgoing and personable self-starter whose strengths are in education, multi-tasking, the digital media arts, and developing and coordinating systems/processes for an efficient workflow. They are passionate about workforce equity, and they will need to be open to working in our production studio. PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Experience working with youth ages 18-24 preferred
  • Experience in teaching creative curriculum
  • Basic knowledge of content-creation and production
  • Basic knowledge in A/V technology and equipment
  • Computer skills, preferably both Macintosh and Windows environments
  • Software: G suite, knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, Davinci Resolve, Avid Pro Tools a plus
  • Some work experience in video production, film, podcasting, and/or broadcast journalism
  • Patience, ability to work under pressure, and adherence to The Loop Lab code of conduct is important.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: 2+ years of work experience in the Audio and Video field and/or Education in either collegiate or professional environments OR Undergraduate Degree in a relevant field.

COMPENSATION: Compensation is a starting salary of $36-40k per year. The range of benefits includes a 401(b), Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and vacation time.
