The Foundation is seeking a full-time, time-limited (one-year), entry-level program assistant to work with Casey staff and external partners to develop, track, assess, report and share the work of grantees. The program assistant helps staff, partners and grantees promote policy and practice improvements that will benefit residents, businesses and neighborhoods within Atlanta’s southside.

As a program assistant, you will:

  •  assist with managing economic opportunity initiatives, including identifying and tracking tasks, partnerships and grantee relationships;
  •  act as a project manager for new youth-centered initiatives and the Changing the Odds network, including providing project updates to key stakeholders, coordinating activities and managing the budget; 
  • research policies, coordinate listening sessions and schedule strategy meetings;
  • provide technical assistance to grantees and coordinate grant applications; and
  • ensure grant-making guidelines are consistent with the annual budgets and strategic priorities.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in urban policy, planning, social work, community development or related field, with three to five years’ experience preferred. Recent graduates from four-year colleges and universities, technical schools and workforce development training programs will be given consideration 
  • Demonstrated experience with and ability to interact and work closely with community residents, community volunteers and nonprofit professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  •  Demonstrated awareness and appreciation for the application of equity in community work, including racial equity
  • Experience in the field of philanthropy, community development, economic development, community organizing and corporate social responsibility work preferred but not required
