The main responsibility of this part-time position is to assist with and coordinate all administrative needs of Girls Who Code’s NYC office, including support with Facilities, IT, and People & Culture functions. The successful candidate will perform a variety administrative tasks, which include meeting logistics, supply management, as well as expense tracking and reporting preparation, and overall office, facilities and technical support. As with any member of our team, this role requires flexibility and the ability to wear many hats in service of helping Girls Who Code meet its goals and objectives.
This position will require working several hours each weekday for a total of 15-20 hours per week.
- Manage daily operations for the Girls who Code (GWC) office (conference room management, expense tracking and reporting, supplies and maintenance of office equipment)
- Make both NYC and SF GWC offices inviting and comfortable places to work that highlight the values of GWC
- Support Executive Leadership Team on ad hoc administrative tasks
- Assist with planning and executing staff events as needed (Staff Retreat logistics and team-building sessions, VP field trips, occasional happy hours, holiday party)
- Manage and support staff in the use of the cloud-based IT systems including Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendar). Serve as Google Apps administrator
- Act as a technical resource to assist users with resolving computer issues
- Prior experience supporting an office in a similar capacity
- Solid IT skills with proficiency in Google Apps suite, Microsoft Office softwares and familiarity with Salesforce CRM
- Ability to execute tasks efficiently and with a sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Exceptional customer-service orientation
