JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator provides designated technical, administrative and clerical support and is responsible for assisting the Director in duties essential to the efficient operation of Plymouth's Human Resources department. The primary function of the position is to support the day-to-day operations of the department including: recruitment, benefits, and payroll support; responding to general inquiries; new employee orientation; file management; and special projects as assigned. Maintains confidentiality of employee information and records. This position is a regular full-time, benefited, non-exempt position.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

HR Administration:

• Maintains HR files and records in accordance with legal requirements and agency policies and procedures.

• Processes HRIS data and runs reports as requested.

• Assists with new employee onboarding and orientation process.

• Assists with maintaining HR department page on SharePoint.

• Provides authorized information from personnel files for employment verifications.

• Assists with employee events.

• Supports HR special projects.

• Assists with employee benefits enrollment and renewal.

• Reviews and reconciles monthly billing for employee benefits plans.

• Provides clerical support for HR department.


Recruitment Support:

• Posts job openings to a wide variety of online job boards.

• Compiles credit card expense report for costs related to job postings.

• Sends biweekly updates to mailing list of people wanting information about job openings.

• Reviews resumes and applications daily in online recruitment system.

• Communicates with Hiring Managers about the status of applicants in a professional and time-sensitive manner.

• Corresponds with candidates about their status in the application process.

• Manages workflow of applicants in online database.

• Schedules phone screens for the Recruiter.

• Prints interview packets for hiring teams.

• Scans and uploads interview notes into online recruitment database.

• Closes out online files once a candidate has been hired.

• Creates new employee files.

• Assists in compiling weekly report on the status of hiring.

• Pays a high level of attention to detail while providing recruitment support.

• Engages in the recruitment process with a strong understanding of equity and cultural competency.

• Maintains the workflow of the hiring process when the Recruiter is out of the office.

• Maintains confidentiality throughout the hiring process.


Performs other work-related tasks as assigned.


ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

(Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience)


Education: Associate degree in related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.


Experience: Minimum of two years administrative experience and minimum of one-year human resources

experience.


Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work with customized databases and technology. Experience working with HRIS system and HRIS reporting; Abila HR Management software preferred.

• Basic understanding of human resources functions including reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

• Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work, multi-task and manage tight deadlines.

• Ability to research, analyze and problem solve.

• Communicate courteously with a wide variety of people, in person and over the phone, adapting style of communication to the situation.

• Ability to quickly perform routine tasks accurately, with attention to detail.


Preferred Experience: Recruitment and benefits experience.


COMPENSATION

$18.85 - $22.89 per hour
