Description

Disability Rights DC at University Legal Services (DRDC) is a federally-funded not-for-profit public interest agency that represents people with disabilities in the District of Columbia. We are seeking a full-time staff attorney to advocate and litigate cases on behalf of people with disabilities to: remedy discriminatory conduct, ensure access to quality services, investigate and resolve incidents of abuse and neglect, and promote community inclusion and independent living options through enforcement of federal mandates under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. DRDC also advocates on behalf of people with disabilities seeking access to DC polling sites to ensure their right to vote independently.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, excellent writing, analytic, research and communication skills. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to public interest work and to disability rights. Current DC Bar admission is required. Experience working in the District is preferred.
