Summary:
The Shelter Therapist is a vital team member in the successful launch and development of Safe Horizon’s Satellite Shelter Clinics. The Shelter Therapist will receive comprehensive training in a various of trauma treatments and interventions through the counseling center in support of them providing trauma treatment to the children and families living in those shelters. Another essential objective of the therapist is to establish effective, collaborative relationships with these key partners with regard to referrals as well as (with consent) the clients they may share. In addition, the Shelter Therapist is expected to bring their clinical expertise in treating trauma survivors as well as their deep knowledge of vicarious trauma and trauma-informed intervention to all of their collaborations with other Safe Horizon (SH) program staff.
Schedule: This position works 3 days/week and is currently remote due to the pandemic. Schedule is subject to change based on program need. Benefits are included.
